Clinical care
A patient story that stays together.
Outpatient, inpatient, maternity, emergency and specialty care write to one chart, so every clinician starts from the full history.
Connects with: Laboratory, imaging, pharmacy and the bill, from every order.
- Outpatient documentation
- Specialty templates, problem list and ICD-11 coding.
- Orders and decision support
- Order sets with drug, allergy and dose checks.
- Admission, transfer, discharge and bed board
- Ward census, transfers and discharge summaries.
- Inpatient and nursing care
- Care plans, vitals, fluid charts and nursing notes.
- Maternity
- Antenatal care, partograph, delivery and newborn records.
- Emergency department, theatre and anaesthesia
- Triage board, surgical safety checklist and anaesthesia record.
- Chronic and infectious disease care
- Diabetes, hypertension, HIV and TB follow-up on the same chart as every other visit.
- Clinical inbox
- Results, tasks and care-team messages routed to the right person.
- AI clinical documentation
- With the patient’s consent, the consultation is drafted into a structured note with suggested ICD-11 codes. The clinician reviews, edits and signs; nothing enters the record without that approval.
Revenue cycle
Every service billed, every payer reconciled.
Billing, claims and payments draw on the clinical record, so nothing is typed twice and one bill covers every payer.
Connects with: SHA, private insurers, employer schemes, M-Pesa and KRA eTIMS.
- Billing and cash controls
- Charge capture at the point of care, deposits, waivers and refunds with approval, cashier shifts and invoices.
- SHA eligibility, preauthorisation and claims
- Client Registry lookup, eligibility, preauthorisation and claims inside the HMIS, without separate middleware.
- Private insurers and employer schemes
- Mixed-payer bills that split a visit across SHA, insurer, employer and cash.
- M-Pesa payments
- STK push at the cashier with automatic reconciliation.
- KRA eTIMS receipts
- Every receipt signed through eTIMS.
- Revenue integrity
- Unbilled-service detection and claim rejection analysis by reason and payer.
Pharmacy, laboratory and imaging
Results and medicines back in the visit.
Pharmacy, stores, laboratory and imaging are linked to the patient and the bill, whether the work is done in-house or sent out.
Connects with: Laboratory analysers over HL7 and ASTM, PACS over DICOM, and your suppliers.
- Pharmacy and dispensing
- Formulary, e-prescribing and dispensing records.
- Inventory and stores
- Stock ledger, expiry tracking, reorder levels and transfers between stores.
- Procurement
- Requisitions, purchase orders and supplier records.
- Laboratory
- Requests, worklists, result entry and validation.
- Radiology and imaging
- Imaging worklists and structured reports.
- Analyser and PACS connections
- HL7 and ASTM analyser interfaces and a DICOM/PACS viewer link.
Analytics
One version of the facts, for every decision.
Reporting starts from the same record clinicians and cashiers use, so the board, the wards and the finance office read the same numbers.
Connects with: Ministry of Health reporting through DHIS2, and exports for your finance and quality teams.
- Role-based dashboards
- Hospital, revenue, clinical and pharmacy dashboards with drill-down to the underlying records.
- Operational and clinical reporting
- Reports across visits, admissions, billing and stock.
- Ministry of Health reporting
- MOH 705 and 711 summaries and DHIS2 submission.
- Registries and follow-up lists
- Care-gap and missed-visit lists for chronic care.
- Self-service report builder
- Saved, scheduled and exported reports without writing SQL.

Questions about the platform.
Which modules are included?
All of them are available on one platform. Each subscription switches on the areas a facility uses, and you add departments as you grow without a new system or a data migration.
Does TibaIQ work with SHA, KRA eTIMS and M-Pesa?
TibaIQ is built for SHA, KRA eTIMS and M-Pesa. Eligibility, preauthorisation and claims, signed receipts and mobile payments sit inside the platform rather than in separate middleware. Claim decisions stay with SHA and each insurer; TibaIQ tracks every claim to payment or rejection.
What happens when the internet goes down?
Work continues. Each device keeps an encrypted offline queue, an optional on-site server keeps the whole facility running, a clear banner shows staff they are offline, and records sync when the connection returns.
Which languages does TibaIQ support?
English and Kiswahili, across screens, SMS and patient summaries.
Can we take our data with us?
Yes. Your organisation owns its records, and a full export is available whatever happens to the subscription.
What hardware do we need?
TibaIQ runs in a modern web browser on the computers and tablets you already use. An on-site server is optional, for facilities that want to keep working through long outages.
